
Farshad is a leader in Accenture’s Communications, Media, and Telecom (CMT) practice in North America. During his tenure at Accenture, he has helped launch OpenAP, the advanced advertising platform used by FOX, NBCU, Univision, and Viacom; scaled up consumer facing internet businesses, and worked on sales force effectiveness in digital and television businesses.
Prior to joining Accenture, Farshad was SVP of Digital Enablement at Nielsen. He led the digital team focused on next-generation product development, covering client-facing APIs, mobile apps, and analytics. Previously within Nielsen, Farshad managed the local media measurement business as the product lead in the U.S. He also oversaw two large investments for Nielsen: measurement of digital audio and mobile TV ratings. In his first role at Nielsen, Farshad launched and built Nielsen’s business in India serving clients in television, online, and telecom.
Farshad joined Nielsen from McKinsey, where he served as a leader in McKinsey’s Global Media, Entertainment and Information practice. In this role, Farshad was responsible for serving clients in a variety of media and telecom sectors particularly on issues of strategy, growth and innovation. Farshad holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Columbia’s School of Engineering and Applied Science. He is based in New York.
